Comprised of PhD scientists, engineers and very experienced technicians, RCP has always specialized in vapor intrusion mitigation. Implementing our unique proprietary diagnostic analyses with quantitative instrumentation, we produce scientific designs of systems installed by our expert technicians that have always resulted in successful vapor intrusion remediation. RCP has succeeded in the abatement of hundreds of apartments, condominiums, military buildings and commercial buildings, as well as more than 70,000 homes and more than 40 schools. Being one of the largest companies specializing in vapor intrusion mitigation, our full-time employees perform all the diagnostics, design and installation of our mitigation systems without using any sub-contractors. RCP certifies that our systems will reduce the intrusion of vapors to below the indoor EPA MCL or required action limit in all cases. We also offer testing and Certification courses for both remediation & testing of! radon and mold & mildew.

RCP's President presented his proprietary diagnostics and design of vapor intrusion mitigation systems at the 1990 EPA International Radon Symposium and other early EPA and AARST symposia. Our staff also contributed to the EPA Radon Mitigation Standards and the EPA document on Model Standards and Techniques for Control of Radon in New Construction, both concerning vapor intrusion mitigation. In 1990, soon after the company's inception, RCP discovered and developed methods to modify radon mitigation systems to remediate the intrusion of all other vapors. RCP also devised further proprietary diagnostics by combining sub-slab vapor concentrations, sub-slab negative pressure field extension measurements, utility line locations, soil characteristics and geology. When mitigating flammable and explosive vapors, we always use explosion-proof fans. Our diagnostic analyses, coupled with our own derived flow modeling equations, uniquely allow us to determine the optimal CFM and "WC capacities of the fans and the size and location of vent pipes to ensure that remediation is cost effective and achieves maximum vapor reduction.
